Rooflights: natural light where a window can't be installed

Rooflights are a practical way to bring daylight into rooms without conventional windows – including bathrooms, dressing rooms, corridors, stairwells, garages and unused lofts. Daylight enters through the roof, making everyday life more comfortable and reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day.

Depending on your needs and the building's structure, you can choose from:

• tubular / tunnel rooflights – ideal for smaller rooms and places where light needs to travel through a ceiling or loft space,

• roof-mounted lights for flat and pitched roofs – where a larger daylight area is needed, sometimes with ventilation or smoke extraction as well (in opening versions).

The greatest benefit of rooflights is that they provide even, soft daylight even in rooms far from the outside walls. A well-chosen rooflight brightens the space and makes it more useful, especially in lofts and buildings with flat roofs.
