VELUX

VELUX is the most recognisable brand among roof window manufacturers. When we hear “roof window”, VELUX comes to mind, and vice versa. The VELUX logo is an international trademark registered in over 70 countries.

The company's history dates back to 1942. Its name comes from ventilatio, meaning ventilation, and lux, meaning light. Villum Kann Rasmussen began a revolution in construction and the lifestyles of future generations by designing and making the world's first window for lofts. From then on, this previously unused space in houses began to be converted into living accommodation. Light entered the loft, and dark attics became a thing of the past.

The VELUX range also includes essential flashings, decorative accessories of all kinds, internal and external sun-protection blinds for roof windows, awnings and Venetian blinds. Modern VELUX Integra electric control systems complete the range, operating windows, blinds and other accessories in a smart home.

The company is known in nearly 40 countries worldwide, mainly north of the 30th parallel in the Northern Hemisphere and south of the 30th parallel in the Southern Hemisphere. VELUX products have therefore been thoroughly tested in these climate zones.

Carefully selected materials used to make the windows demonstrate their high quality. They reflect the excellent technical performance and account for the exceptional durability of VELUX roof windows. As a result, the windows have a 10-year warranty and the glazing a warranty of as much as 20 years. VELUX also places great importance on the environment, using sustainably sourced resources in production.

Roof window blinds are quick and easy to install. A wide range of colours and contemporary designs makes them a distinctive decorative feature, giving every room an appealing look. They are made from high-quality materials and undergo specialist testing before sale. This ensures they remain durable for many years, protecting rooms from excessive incoming light.

A loft is an ideal place to create a distinctive design and space with functionality and a connection to the surroundings. VELUX windows can transform loft rooms completely, providing excellent daylight and ease of use. VELUX windows come with operating controls at either the bottom or the top. Top controls are used when the lower edge of the window is between 80 and 130 cm above the floor. This allows furniture to be placed below the window, and operation is simple because you do not need to bend down to open or close it.
