A new way to open the window and efficient ventilation

VELUX GLU has two opening options: a handle at the top or a bottom handle in type B (model GLU B). When windows are installed higher up, the bottom-handle option works well because the handle is easier to reach. When the lower edge of the window is at approximately 90cm, the top-handle option is suitable. This allows a table, sofa or desk to be placed beneath the window, as nothing will obstruct its opening. The sash rotates through 180 degrees, making the window easy to clean. The top-handle model can be fitted with the VELUX Integra system for electric operation using a smartphone and an app. These two opening options make it easier to arrange rooms in the loft, with ease of use as the main priority. Each window type has ventilation with a built-in, replaceable air filter that is easy to clean and prevents dust and insects from entering the home. This provides fresh air even when the window is closed.

Standard Plus range

Standard Plus windows with two glazing cavities deliver strong energy performance with triple glazing. In addition to the triple-glazed unit, an extra seal and the Thermo Technology construction provide high energy efficiency. They offer the best value for money.

The attractive price of the triple-glazed unit responds to customers’ increased expectations for energy efficiency. Triple-glazed windows meet the requirements of the regulations coming into force in 2021. They have an ideal thermal transmittance of Uw=1,1 (W/m2K). The special glass design reduces heat loss and gives us a favourable energy balance. In addition to ideal thermal insulation properties, the special glazing unit provides better protection against noise.
