All TILCOR stone-coated tiles are covered with crushed natural New Zealand stone, which gently refracts sunlight to create a pleasing colour effect. The matt, porous surface prevents the roof from heating to excessively high temperatures.

TILCOR tiles have a ZINCALUME aluminium-zinc coating. When exposed to outdoor conditions, this coating system lasts well over ten times as long as an ordinary galvanised coating of the same thickness. The TILCOR roofing system resists earthquakes, severe frost and heat, is non-combustible and withstands hurricane-force winds of up to 190 km/h.
