Roof balcony windows
VELUX GDL Cabrio roof balcony
The VELUX Cabrio roof balcony is an excellent alternative to traditional, very expensive balconies, without the problem of leaking terraces or balconies. It is exceptionally easy to create in seconds, transforming a roof window into a balcony almost instantly. When closed, VELUX Cabrio sits flush with the roof.
The VELUX Cabrio roof balcony is a two-sash window for loft rooms. The lower section moves out to a vertical position, with safety railings on both sides. The upper section is a tilting sash with a wide opening angle of 45 degrees, providing easy access and an unrestricted view.
Made from treated and varnished pine.
Thermo Technology construction
The ThermoTechnology construction and an additional seal provide the best insulation performance by combining timber with highly insulating EPS. The windows have narrower profiles, allowing more light into rooms in the loft.
Energy-efficient window
VELUX windows with two glazing cavities offer clear energy efficiency benefits. As well as energy-efficient glazing, an additional seal and Thermo Technology construction ensure high energy efficiency. They offer the best value for money. The glazing unit’s attractive price responds to customers’ increased expectations for energy efficiency. These windows meet the requirements in regulations taking effect in 2021. They have an ideal thermal transmittance value of Uw=1,1 (W/m2K). The special glazing construction reduces heat loss and provides a favourable energy balance. Alongside ideal thermal insulation properties, the specialist glazing unit offers better noise protection.
The VELUX roof balcony also offers an increased anti-burglary resistance class of P2A, with safety glazing that protects against glass fragments even if the pane breaks.

How we check reviews: we publish reviews confirmed by their authors via a link sent to their email address, no later than 24 hours after confirmation (during this time we may check them). Reviews containing links or contact details, and all photos, are checked before publication. The ‘Verified purchase’ label appears only on reviews whose author sent us proof of purchase of this product and where we confirmed the purchase at Ambit or at another wholesaler. Other reviews are not checked for a purchase. The average includes all published reviews, verified and unverified. We do not pay for reviews and we do not remove reviews because they are negative. We prepare translations of reviews ourselves and mark them; the original is always available. Details: Review terms.
