Facade board
Façade boards are a modern form of timber façade that combines the advantages of natural wood and composite boards. The cladding closely imitates the texture of wood, but is much more durable, more striking and has a wide range of uses. The boards can be fitted to timber, masonry and reinforced concrete walls. What are façade boards made from?
The façade boards we sell are largely made from cement fibres. The product contains up to 90% cement and up to 30% fillers, plastics and mineral fibres. These include cellulose and chalk. They increase the boards' flexibility and density and fill gaps in their structure. A façade board is made by pressing several layers of material together and then curing them. The layered structure increases the product's durability and strength, with a final thickness of 10 to 12 mm.
What are façade boards used for?
Façade sheets and boards can generally be used for finishing gables and eaves, lining the underside of roofs, and cladding external and internal walls, for tunnel wall linings, industrial floors, floor and ceiling coverings, furniture and multilayer panels. They are used in agriculture, industry, construction and carpentry. Façades can be finished in various ways: with a layer of render, ceramic tiles or concrete tiles, brick facing or timber cladding.
