Flat roof tiles, profiled metal sheets and bituminous felt require different connections where a service passes through the roof. A VILPE roof pass-through is therefore selected to suit the roof covering, its profile and the roof pitch. It is a component of the mounting system that helps a roof vent or fan pass correctly through the roof. For P series devices, selecting the appropriate pass-through is part of putting together the complete kit, rather than an accessory left to be chosen on site.

The range includes solutions for roof tiles, metal sheets and bituminous roof coverings. Selected CLICK pass-throughs are supplied with an underlay seal. UNITILE CLICK, for example, was developed for tiled roofs, while CLASSIC variants are designed for specific standing-seam flat metal roof coverings. Even with similar materials, the exact profile must be taken into account: the colour name or the diameter of the roof vent alone is not enough to select the right product.

The pitch range is equally important. CLASSIC LOIVA CLICK has a stated range of 5–27°, while other pass-throughs may have different limits. When ordering, also check compatibility with the device and the kit contents. The connection at the surface of the roof covering and the seal beneath it form a single detail, which the roofer installs according to the instructions for the selected variant.

Send Ambit the name and model of the roof covering, the roof pitch and the designation of the roof vent or fan. A photograph of the profile and an extract from the design will help verify the choice. We will help identify the kit for a quotation request so that the necessary components and their compatibility are established before installation. Individual clearance items available from the outlet are checked separately for suitability for the specific application.

Does one pass-through fit every roof tile?

Do not assume that it does. Check the profile, roof tile model, roof pitch and permitted applications of the specific pass-through.

Is a pass-through always included with the fan?

P series products require a pass-through selected to suit the roof covering. Check the kit contents before ordering.

Is sealing the pass-through on the outside enough?

The entire detail must be installed according to the instructions, including the connection to the underlay. The exterior finish alone does not replace the other seals.
