VILPE
VILPE IO – wall-mounted air intake and exhaust outlet
Air intake and exhaust points can be incorporated into the façade. The VILPE IO range includes combined wall-mounted intake and exhaust units and separate air intakes, selected to suit the system's ducts and airflow rates.
When a ventilation system uses the façade, its terminal should take account of both airflow and the duct layout. VILPE IO is a range of wall-mounted components for supplying and discharging air. The manufacturer offers a combined intake and exhaust version, as well as single-function air intake versions. This distinction matters when ordering: components that look similar from the outside may have different roles in the system.
IO combined intake and exhaust units are available in sizes Ø 125, 160, 200 and 250 mm. Their design allows the intake to be positioned on the left or right, making it easier to suit the duct routing. A reducer allows exhaust performance to be adjusted for specific airflow rates. Whether it should be used is determined by the manufacturer's data for the particular diameter and system airflow rate, rather than the model designation alone.
It is worth considering IO at the ventilation and façade design stage, especially in developments with repeated layouts of apartments or commercial premises. The component's position, airflow direction and access for servicing should be agreed before openings are made. Pressure drop and noise data need to be assessed at the actual operating point to select the appropriate version for the building.
You can ask Ambit for help selecting and pricing the IO range. Provide the duct diameters, design supply and extract airflow rates, and information on the façade layout. This makes it easier to establish the right version, installation orientation and components needed for a complete order. The final position should follow the ventilation system design.

Frequently asked questions
Does IO replace an air handling unit?
No. It is a façade terminal for the system. The air handling unit and the complete system must be sized separately.
Does IO always combine an air intake and an exhaust outlet?
No. There are also versions intended solely for air intake. Check the full name and function of the model you are ordering.
When is a reducer needed?
This depends on the diameter and the design extract airflow rate. Use the VILPE table for the specific model.

How we check reviews: we publish reviews confirmed by their authors via a link sent to their email address, no later than 24 hours after confirmation (during this time we may check them). Reviews containing links or contact details, and all photos, are checked before publication. The ‘Verified purchase’ label appears only on reviews whose author sent us proof of purchase of this product and where we confirmed the purchase at Ambit or at another wholesaler. Other reviews are not checked for a purchase. The average includes all published reviews, verified and unverified. We do not pay for reviews and we do not remove reviews because they are negative. We prepare translations of reviews ourselves and mark them; the original is always available. Details: Review terms.
