Fibre-cement roofs
Fibre-cement roofing slates stand out for their attractive appearance, with a surface resembling natural slate. We especially recommend them for historic buildings and classic architecture. They are environmentally friendly, easy to work with, non-combustible and strong, and are particularly useful where the load-bearing roof structure must be retained. We offer Cedral fibre-cement slates.

What is fibre cement, and what are its advantages?
Fibre cement is made from Portland cement, limestone flour, water, air, and synthetic and cellulose fibres. These environmentally neutral raw materials create a non-combustible, safe material suitable for every type of building at any height. Fibre cement is also strong, durable and resistant to weather, fungi and bacteria.
Fibre cement is used to make two types of roof covering: roofing slates and corrugated sheets.
Roofing slates
Roof coverings made from small-format roofing slates have been popular in construction for many years. They look natural and attractive on historic buildings and work equally well on new buildings, breaking up architectural monotony. Roofing slates are used where the existing load-bearing roof structure must be retained or when adding a storey and a lightweight roof structure is needed.
Roofing slates can easily be mistaken for natural slate. Their coating consists of two layers of acrylic paint applied hot. They are easy to work with, environmentally friendly and economical, with all the benefits of fibre cement.
Corrugated sheets
Corrugated sheets have a wave-shaped profile, hence their name. They are 2 m long, 91-95 cm wide and 3 mm thick.
Fibre-cement corrugated sheets contain reinforcing fibres that increase their strength and flexibility. The surface is painted, giving it a smooth, durable finish resistant to harmful external influences and UV radiation.
Fibre-cement corrugated sheets can cover new buildings or be used to renovate existing roofs. They are used on residential, utility, industrial and public buildings, as well as shelters, garages, holiday homes, industrial halls, sports facilities and agricultural buildings.
Fibre-cement corrugated sheets require no care or maintenance during use. Their service life is estimated at several decades.
