The LWM loft ladder is a sectional model with a metal ladder. It closes with a beige, insulated, energy-saving hatch that is 36 mm thick. A perimeter seal in the rebated part of the casing provides excellent airtightness. The LWM is simple to operate: the ladder folds in sections and the hatch has a catch to hold it fully open. The hinges have double connections, and the ends of the side-rail profiles are capped, giving the whole ladder great strength. A patented hatch-hinge corner prevents the casing from distorting. Installation is straightforward, and the ladder can be adjusted to the room height. The treads have a non-slip profile, and the ladder is fitted with feet. The lock is housed inside the insulated hatch, leaving no metal components on its outer surface on which water vapour could condense as a result of temperature differences.
