Fakro LWF and LSF fire-resistant loft ladders

The LWF and LSF loft ladders are fire-resistant models. The LWF is a sectional ladder, while the LSF has a scissor design. Their main advantage is that they can act as a fire barrier during a fire inside the building. In normal use, they provide access to the loft. The hatch on both models has an intumescent seal that expands at high temperatures, preventing fire and smoke from reaching a floor that is unaffected by the fire. LWF and LSF loft ladders are particularly suitable where building regulations require this kind of fire protection. The LWF has a special construction using carefully selected materials. Its treads have a non-slip profile, and it is fitted with a metal handrail. The LSF features a scissor folding system that allows the ladder to fold down to a compact size, making it suitable for small openings. A specially designed hatch-angle adjustment mechanism also lets the LSF ladder adapt to the room height without cutting. Both models offer a high fire-resistance rating (EI = 30 min). They are also easy to operate and completely safe.
