Porotherm 25 Aku, Porotherm 25\30 Aku and Porotherm 25\37,5 Aku are porous clay blocks for walls with enhanced sound insulation.
Porotherm 25 Aku can be filled with ordinary cement-lime mortar. Its distinctive mass gives it the best sound insulation of all products in the Porotherm system.
Porotherm 25\30 Aku is an acoustic clay block whose joint pockets alone need filling with ordinary cement-lime mortar. This makes wall construction much quicker and easier, while its good sound insulation provides peace and comfortable living. Porotherm 25\30 Aku blocks are suitable for both external and internal clay walls.
The Porotherm 25\37,5 Aku blocks are designed for single-leaf internal walls with enhanced sound insulation. They are the first clay blocks in Poland to meet both acoustic and thermal requirements for internal walls, removing the need for additional insulation materials. Walls made from Porotherm 25\37,5 Aku are built conventionally with ordinary masonry mortar in the horizontal joints and in the pockets formed where blocks meet. The cavities are not filled with mortar, making construction much easier, while good sound insulation ensures comfortable living. Another major advantage is the exceptionally low number of blocks needed per square metre of wall: around 11.
All blocks for acoustic walls offer high fire resistance, good heat storage, a large format and strength. Porotherm Aku products provide an excellent base for plaster.

Porotherm AKU – a quiet home starts with the wall
Too much noise can disturb your comfort and peace. That is why it is worth choosing materials that provide effective noise protection as early as the building’s construction stage. Porotherm AKU is a range of ceramic hollow blocks developed for improved sound insulation, allowing walls to be built that eliminate the transmission of unwanted sound.
What makes Porotherm AKU stand out?
Acoustic performance above the standard
The special arrangement of cavities with transverse webs and the appropriate mass of the ceramic material allow AKU blocks to achieve very high sound reduction values, such as Rₐ₁ = 54 dB for Porotherm 25/37,5 AKU.Thermal insulation and heat storage
Alongside good acoustic performance, AKU also offers sound thermal performance. Walls made from it act as a thermal buffer, helping maintain comfort inside the building.A simple masonry system
Walls are built using standard masonry mortar, filling only the “pocket” spaces between the blocks. This makes work more efficient and reduces the amount of material needed.Versatile applications
AKU blocks can be used for internal walls requiring sound insulation, for example between rooms and circulation areas or offices. They also perform well in multi-family housing where high sound insulation is required.
