Tikkurila Isoxyde – paint for coated metal roofs
AMBIT offers Tikkurila Isoxyde from the Master Solution range, a water-repellent, waterborne high-build paint for roofs and metal elements. It combines acrylic and styrene polymers and contains anti-corrosion agents. The manufacturer specifies it for steel, aluminium, zinc and galvanized surfaces, as well as sheet metal with plastisol, polyester and alkyd coatings. It can be used without a primer.
For light refurbishment of a substrate in good condition, one coat is sufficient; in other cases, the manufacturer recommends two. Before painting, wash the roof with a pressure washer and sand galvanized steel surfaces. Apply the next coat after at least 6 hours; full curing takes approx. 48 hours.
