Uses:
  • as a highly abrasion-resistant coating material for protective coatings exposed to medium and high chemical loads
  • as protective linings for tanks, silos and the surfaces of emergency containment trays beneath fuel and oil tanks
  • as an anti-corrosion protective coating in food plants (beverage production and food processing), wastewater treatment plants, livestock farms and agricultural facilities, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, etc.
  • for producing crack-bridging laminates on protective surfaces beneath tanks (including fuel tanks)

Colour: grey (standard)

Sikagard-680 S

Sikagard-680 S is a single-component, solvent-based coating material based on methacrylic resin, resistant to weathering, ageing and alkalis. It is designed to form clear or coloured protective coatings on mineral substrates such as concrete and other cement-based materials. Sikagard-680 S protects concrete against aggressive weather conditions (its rapid drying makes the coating rain-resistant after a short time) and enhances the self-cleaning action of protected surfaces. It has no adverse effect on the concrete texture. The material has very high resistance to carbon dioxide diffusion, significantly reducing the progression and depth of concrete carbonation. The coating has virtually no effect on water evaporation from concrete, does not attract dirt particles and does not discolour under precipitation. It is very suitable for protecting fresh concrete.

Uses:
  • as a protective and decorative coating on concrete and other cement-based materials
Variants:
  • Sikagard-680 S Clear Glaze: a clear, glossy material used as a refreshing and protective coating for exposed-aggregate concrete
  • Sikagard-680 S Top Coat: a coloured, matt top coat available in a wide colour range
Colour:
  • Sikagard -680 S Clear Glaze: clear
  • Sikagard -680 S Top Coat: a wide choice of colours

Sikagard-700 S

Sikagard-700 S is a single-component material for protecting absorbent cementitious substrates. It penetrates the substrate pores. It is water-repellent while allowing water vapour diffusion in both directions. The product reduces capillary water uptake, improves resistance to frost and de-icing salts, reduces efflorescence, does not stain, limits the accumulation and penetration of dirt on the surface, improves thermal insulation properties, provides greater durability and resistance than other silicone impregnations, reduces chloride ion penetration into the substrate and does not affect water vapour permeability. Sikagard-700 S can be overcoated with dispersion coatings. It usually does not change the surface appearance.

Applications for clear water-repellent treatment:
  • absorbent materials exposed to rain, such as concrete
  • levelling layers
  • concrete slabs
  • fibre-cement products
  • bricks (clay and lime, unglazed)
  • natural stone

Colour: clear

Sikagard-702 W Aquaphob

Sikagard-702 W Aquaphob is a silicone microemulsion concentrate that, when diluted with water, forms a water-repellent impregnation with high penetration ability. The material reduces capillary water uptake and absorption of aggressive aqueous solutions, does not alter the water vapour permeability of the impregnated surface, penetrates concrete substrates extremely well, does not change the surface appearance, improves resistance to dirt, limits fungal and mould growth and maintains high alkali resistance. It protects against precipitation and dampness.

Uses:
  • impregnation for mineral substrates such as concrete, mortar, unglazed brick structures, stone structures, aerated concrete, fibre cement, mineral paints, etc.

Sikagard-703W

Sikagard-703W is a ready-to-use, water-based, hydrophobic impregnation based on silane / siloxane for protecting façades. This water-based product has strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. It reduces the absorption of aggressive solutions. It does not alter the water vapour permeability or appearance of the impregnated surface. It limits fungal and mould growth and can be overcoated with various coatings.

Uses:
  • an impregnation protecting against precipitation for concrete, reinforced concrete, brick and stone structures, asbestos concrete and other mineral materials

Colour: whitish

Sikagard-720 EpoCem

Sikagard-720 EpoCem is a three-component (resin, hardener and filler) cement-epoxy mortar that requires no curing treatment. Its main properties include excellent protection of concrete against aggressive environments, good chemical resistance, quick and easy application, and excellent adhesion to fresh and fully cured concrete, whether wet or dry. The material is impermeable to liquids but permeable to water vapour. It is solvent-free and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It can be machine-applied by spraying. A major advantage is the minimal waiting time before applying Sika resin coatings.

Uses:
  • skim coating or slurry coating mineral substrates in a layer 0,5÷3,0 mm thick, particularly under constant exposure to condensate and water and in aggressive environments
  • as a temporary moisture barrier (Temporary Moisture Barrier - TMB) beneath epoxy, polyurethane and PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) resins (required thickness: minimum 2 mm) on damp substrates, including damp concrete
  • as a thin-layer protective render on concrete elements
