Sika Primer-204 N

Sika Primer-204 N is a low-viscosity, moisture-curing substance consisting of pigments in a polyisocyanate resin solution. It is designed to prepare metal surfaces for bonding or sealing with Sikaflex products. Sika Primer-204 N is manufactured under an ISO 9001/14001 system, ensuring high material quality. It does not provide corrosion protection.

Uses:
  • as a primer to improve adhesion to mild, stainless and galvanised steel and untreated and anodised aluminium

Sika Primer-204 N

Sika Primer-206 G+P is a black substance (a mixture of pigments in a polyisocyanate resin solution) that cures with moisture. It is designed particularly for preparing surfaces before bonding glazing. Sika Primer-204 N is manufactured under the ISO 9001/14001 system, which guarantees high material quality.

Uses:
  • primer to improve adhesion to glass and glazing with a ceramic border before applying Sikaflex adhesives
  • primer for other surfaces, such as plastics and various metals

Sika Primer-209 N

Sika Primer-209 N is a black, low-viscosity substance (a solution of polyurethane pigments) that cures with moisture. It is used to prepare painted surfaces and plastics for bonding or sealing with Sikaflex products. Manufacturing under the ISO 9001/14001 system guarantees high material quality.

Uses:
  • plastics: PMMA (acrylic), PC, ABS, etc.
  • paints: acrylic, alkyd/melamine

* Because painted surfaces and plastics differ in their chemical composition, preliminary tests are essential. Before applying the primer to plastics susceptible to stress cracking, particularly acrylics, polycarbonates or ABS, consult the manufacturer’s instructions.

Sika Primer-210 T

Sika Primer-210 T is a low-viscosity liquid (a solvent-based epoxy resin mixture) for preparing aluminium, galvanised steel and certain plastics for bonding or sealing with Sikaflex materials. Sika Primer-210 T is manufactured under the ISO 9001/14001 system, which guarantees high material quality. It must not be used on porous surfaces.

Uses:
  • primer to improve adhesion to a very wide range of metals, plastics and painted surfaces before using Sikaflex adhesives

Sika Primer-215

Sika Primer-215 is a transparent, yellowish, low-viscosity substance (a solvent-based polyurethane resin mixture) that cures with moisture. It is designed for preparing various plastics, wood and other porous surfaces for bonding with Sikaflex products. Sika Primer-215 is manufactured under the ISO 9001 /14001 system, which guarantees high material quality.

Uses:
  • preparation for bonding of the following surfaces: GRP (polyester laminate), epoxy resins, PCW, ABS, wood

Sika Primer-290 DC

Sika Primer-290 DC is a transparent, yellowish, low-viscosity substance (a solvent-based polyurethane resin mixture) that cures with moisture. It is used to prepare wooden deck planks for bonding with Sikaflex-298 adhesive or sealing with Sikaflex-290 DC. Sika Primer-290 DC is manufactured under the ISO 9001/14001 system, which guarantees high material quality.

Uses:
  • on the following surfaces: teak, mahogany, Oregon pine, cork, GRP (polyester laminate)

Colour: slightly yellowish

Sika Primer MB

Sika Primer MB is a two-component, solvent-free, low-viscosity epoxy primer. Its advantages include easy application, shorter working times, good penetration and substrate stabilisation. It can also be used on old substrates and heated floors. The primed surface does not need to be broadcast with sand. Using Silka Primer MB considerably reduces adhesive consumption. The product is suitable for flexible SikaBond adhesives (for wooden flooring).

Uses:
  • as a moisture buffer: for cement-based substrates with a moisture content up to 4%
  • as a substrate-strengthening impregnation: on concrete, cement mortars and anhydrite screeds
  • as an adhesion promoter: for sand-saturated asphalt surfaces, surfaces with old adhesive and mortar residues, and other difficult substrates
