The fan is a key component of the VILPE quiet kitchen system. Together with a motorless extractor hood and a roof penetration, it forms the VILPE ventilation system. Installing a roof fan guarantees many years of reliable operation, providing excellent ventilation not just in the kitchen but throughout the home. Roof fans are reliable and trouble-free, regardless of temperature and climate conditions.
- P-type roof fans are fitted in the roof slope. Each fan model requires a roof penetration matched to the roof covering.

- S-type roof fans are fitted in the ventilation stack, mounted on the ventilation duct using the mounting plate supplied.

The airflow required in a cooker hood ventilation duct depends on the size of the cooker, the height of the hood and many other parameters. It is assumed that 1 linear m of ventilation duct causes 5 Pa of compression losses, plus 30 Pa for the cooker hood.
| Fan model | Duct | 50 Pa* | 100 Pa** | Hood type |
| E220 | 160 mm | 720 m³/h | 620 m³/h | Cabinet, island and wall installation |
| Eco190 | 125 mm | 650 m³/h | 580 m³/h | Cabinet and wall installation |
| Eco220 | 160 mm | 900 m³/h | 780 m³/h | Island and ceiling installation (larger model) |
| Eco250 | 200 mm | 1200 m³/h | 1100 m³/h | Island and ceiling installation (larger model) |
* - example capacity for a ventilation duct length of approx. 5 m from the hood to the roof fan
** - example capacity for a ventilation duct length of approx. 15 linear m from the hood to the roof fan
