termPIR insulation boards

Uses of PIR boards

PIR boards have a wide range of uses. They are used to insulate pitched roofs, loft spaces, attics, flat roofs, terraces, floor slabs, basements, foundations and floors. PIR boards can also insulate two- and three-layer external walls, partitions and other internal walls.

Advantages of PIR insulation boards

PIR insulation boards offer many advantages, which makes them a popular choice with developers undertaking energy upgrades to buildings. Above all, the material has very low thermal conductivity, which prevents heat from escaping the building and thus prevents a drop in room temperature. PIR boards are also lightweight, extremely strong and resistant to mechanical damage. Further advantages include resistance to moisture, solvents and fire. The material is also fully recyclable without negatively affecting the natural environment.

Insulating a pitched roof

PIR foam boards used to insulate pitched roofs offer high insulation performance, low weight and low water absorption. Insulating a roof with this material guarantees the highest quality and many years of service.

When should you add insulation to a pitched roof?

Additional pitched roof insulation becomes necessary when the loft is fully intended for use. If the loft is not used for living or other purposes, fitting continuous insulation to the floor slab is sufficient. This effectively prevents heat loss from the building. Professionally installed loft insulation allows the space to be converted into another room or a utility room, which can significantly improve the building's practicality.

Insulating a pitched roof with PIR foam insulation boards

Using PIR foam boards to insulate a pitched roof is an optimal solution for customers who prioritise low thermal conductivity. This significantly reduces the energy needed to heat the building. By completely eliminating thermal bridges and thanks to the exceptional performance of termPIR boards, the total cost of roof insulation is significantly reduced, resulting in lower heating bills.
