In addition to the technical benefits above, copper gutters have clear visual appeal. Their main advantage here is their attractive, smooth surface, which also prevents various types of dirt from sticking to the gutter. Copper, like wine, follows the principle of “the older, the better”. Over time, it oxidises, resulting in a beautiful pale green patina on the metal surface.
